GREEN, FRANK:  Peacefully, at Henderson General
Hospital in Hamilton on Sunday, January 2, 2005, Frank
Albert Green of Smithville, in his 70th year.  Beloved
husband and best friend of his wife of 47 years, Dianne (nee
Lockie).  Dearly loved father of Debbie and Brent Simpson of
Smithville and of Steven and Diane Green of Beamsville.  
Cherished grandfather of Jeremy and Krista Simpson and
Simon and Megan Green.  Dear brother of Edna Smith (and
the late Leslie) of Caistor, Ada and Don Urquhart and
Frances Kinney of Smithville, and brother-in-law of Jean
(and the late Gerry) Bracey, Jim and Gail Lockie (and the
late Shirley Lockie), Gloria (and the late Bob) Lockie, Trish
(and the late John) Lockie.   Predeceased by his father
Frank and his mother Ethel.  Frank will also be missed by
many nieces and nephews and by his many friends.  The
Masonic Service was held by Coronation Lodge No. 502 and
the West Lincoln Fire Department Memorial Tribute was held
at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.  Rev. Dale
Massender led the Funeral Service on Wednesday, January
5, 2005 at 11 am at the Smithville United Church.  Eunice
Lung was the organist.  The eulogy was delivered by Frank's
lifetime friend, Bill Shrum, and his son-in-law Brent Simpson.
 Interment at the church's adjoining cemetery.  Pallbearers
were Ron Hunter, Jim Sheldrake, Mike Hornak, Tom Wills,
Cecil Leppert and Alan Joyner.  Flower bearers were Jeremy
Simpson, Krista Simpson and Simon Green.  Memorial
contributions to the Smithville United Church or the
Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated
by the family and can be made through Merritt Funeral Home.

Special thanks to Rev. Dale Massender, the VON and St.
Elizabeth Nurses, The Niagara Palliative Care Team, the
Juravinski Cancer Centre, the doctors, nurses and staff of
Ward 395 Henderson Hospital and C Ward of West Lincoln
Memorial Hospital, Paramed Services, and Drs. Suhadolc,
Ellis, Bertothy, Marshall and Ginsburg and the staff of
Smithville Medical Centre.
