| PETTIGREW, DOUGLAS: With great sadness we announce the passing of Doug in his 69th year on May 11, 2005. Beloved husband of Barbara of Smithville and dear father of Lori (Doug Murphy) of Binbrook and Glen (Debra) of Grimsby. Proud “Pa” of his grandchildren Adam and Sara. Doug also leaves behind his loving brother Jim (Deborah). Brother-in-law to Alice Spree, Ferne Martin, Ronald and Grace Martin, Margaret and Donald Barge and Reta Aiton, he will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Vera (nee Street) Pettigrew. Doug was a Past Master of Lincoln Lodge 544. In respect of Doug’s wishes, a private family interment led by Rev. Dale Massender was held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial contributions in Doug’s memory to the West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary or Smithville United Church may be given through Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville. |
